You will fall in love with Round Lake which is the first major lake to flow out of Algonquin Park. The Bonnechere River flows from the park into Round Lake and continues out towards Golden Lake. The lake offers amazing beaches both at Bonnechere Provincial Park & Foy Provincial Park. Both parks offer hiking trails & picnic areas. Foy is non-operational, however Bonnechere offers campsites & cabin rentals.
The lake is located in the township of Killaloe, Hagarty & Richards. It is a deep lake, with a max depth of approximately 180 feet. It is a great lake for boating & fishing with a wide variety of species that include walleye, bass, pike & lake trout. Round Lake Centre offers a few shops & food stands. The town of Killaloe is approximately 15 minutes away.
